DATA SYNTHESIS This study presents a review of several automated dispensing technologies that could be used in a hospital, managed care, or long-term care setting. Smaller automated systems reviewed are the Argus, Automated 250FD, Automated Pharmacy Station, Baxter ATC-212, Baxter ATC 240, Medserv, Pyxis Medstation, Medstation Rx, and Selectrac-Rx.
